Beyond the Journey Names Cape May a Top 20 Beach in the U.S.

A recent article by Owen Mitchell for Beyond the Journey ranked Cape May, New Jersey, as the 17th most beautiful beach in the United States.  The beach is well-known for its soft sandy shores, making it an ideal destination for sunbathers and leisurely walkers. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the promenade, home to a variety of quaint shops and restaurants. Cape May's Victorian-era architecture and welcoming atmosphere appeal to both families and couples, offering a timeless seaside experience that connects the past with the present. But we already knew all of that, right?

Ocean City's Castaway Cove Offering $20 Unlimited Rides for a Good Cause

This Saturday, May 3rd, from 1 to 4 p.m., visitors can enjoy unlimited rides for just $20. The event supports Relay For Life of Atlantic County, benefiting the American Cancer Society, making it a fun day for a meaningful cause. Nearly all of Castaway Cove’s attractions will be up and running, with the exception of the Gale Force rollercoaster, which will reopen later in the season. Guests can look forward to a full range of options, from kiddie rides to spinning rides and favorites like the log flume. Taking advantage of the rides before the busy Memorial Day Weekend rush offers a special experience for early visitors, creating a unique, laid-back atmosphere before the summer crowds arrive.

Cape May Native Honored in "Jersey Lawman" Benefit Performance

"Jersey Lawman: A Life on the Right Side of Crime," a staged reading based on the memoir of Cape May County native Jim Plousis, will be performed May 17 at The Claridge in Atlantic City. This benefit event operates on a ‘pay-what-you-will’ basis, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the 200 Club and the Atlantic City Theatre Company. The 200 Club is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to the families of police, fire, and rescue personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In addition to his distinguished law enforcement career, Jim Plousis now serves as Chairman of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and holds a board position with the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA).
