Ciattarelli Pulls Ahead Among Republicans; Democrats Still Divided, Poll Finds

With less than seven weeks until New Jersey’s June primary elections, former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli is emerging as the frontrunner in the Republican race for governor, while Democratic voters remain deeply divided over their choice, according to a new Rutgers-Eagleton Poll. Five Republicans and six Democrats are vying to succeed Governor Phil Murphy, who is barred from seeking another term. Despite millions being spent on campaigns, many voters remain disengaged. A third of voters from each party are still undecided, and name recognition for most candidates remains low.
Rowan University’s New Fossil Park Brings Dinosaurs Back to Life

A new chapter in dinosaur discovery has opened just outside Philadelphia, as Rowan University’s Edelman Fossil Park & Museum welcomes visitors in Glassboro, New Jersey. Officially opened in March, the museum brings over a century of world-renowned fossil finds to life, reaffirming South Jersey’s reputation as a global paleontology hotspot. Inside, the museum offers an interactive journey back to the age of dinosaurs. Guests can explore fossil exhibits, enjoy free-roaming virtual reality experiences, and even dig for their own fossils at a working quarry. General admission grants access to all exhibits, with add-on experiences available for an additional fee. Plans are also underway for overnight sleepover programs.
FERC Approves PJM Price Caps, Projected to Save $21 Billion Across 13 States

PJM Interconnection’s plan to cap electricity auction prices for 2026-2028 has been approved by federal regulators, aiming to save consumers $21 billion and counter steep price hikes expected in June. Despite opposition, regulators called it a balanced solution to stabilize rates amid growing energy demand and infrastructure challenges. As the June 1 rate increases draw closer, pressure on PJM and FERC is mounting. In New Jersey, both major political parties are elevating the issue ahead of the June primaries and November's general election, where the governor’s seat and all 80 Assembly seats are up for grabs.
