What Happened at the Washington Street Mall? Incident Prompts Search for Woman by Cape May Police

 

 Authorities in Cape May have launched an investigation into an incident that took place at the popular Washington Street Mall. While police have not disclosed specific details about what occurred, they have confirmed that the matter is under active investigation. As part of their efforts, Cape May Police have released photos of a woman they are seeking in connection with the incident. The images, shared on the department’s official Facebook page, show the woman in the downtown shopping area. Officials are urging anyone who can identify the woman to contact Detective Atkinson of the Cape May Police Department at 609-385-0486.

 

Beloved Pirate Ship Returns to Ocean City Boardwalk After Fire Recovery

 The pirate ship at Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City has been reinstalled after being destroyed by a fire in 2021. On Wednesday afternoon, after years of restoration efforts, the iconic ship was carefully hoisted back atop the amusement park, bringing renewed energy and nostalgia to the boardwalk. The ship had become more than just a decorative centerpiece over the years, evolving into a cherished symbol and a favorite landmark for families and tourists. Earlier this month, the arcade at Playland’s Castaway Cove also reopened, introducing a refreshed look and a new vision for the future.

Prescription Drug Disposal Event Set for Today in North Cape May

 Lower Township Police will hold a prescription drug take-back event today, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Acme in North Cape May. Residents are reminded to check their medicine cabinets and take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of pills, capsules, tablets, and patches but should leave syringes, injectables, and similar items at home. A great way to protect both the community and the environment.
