Temperatures hit the low 80s, drawing thousands to the popular site. Visitors who made it inside early in the day described a lively scene filled with sunshine, animals out in full view, and families soaking in the weather. While it was crowded, the overall vibe remained upbeat, with guests sharing positive experiences on social media.

Cape May County Democrats Outnumber GOP in Assembly Race for First Time in Years

Eleven candidates are running for governor in New Jersey's June 10 primary—six Democrats and five Republicans. In Cape May County, five candidates are competing for two Assembly seats, with Democrats outnumbering Republicans for the first time in years. While most local and county races are uncontested, North Wildwood will see a competitive Republican primary for mayor following Mayor Patrick Rosenello’s decision not to seek reelection. County commissioners and the county clerk are running unopposed, and no Democrats filed for county or local races. The 1st Legislative District continues to lean Republican, though Democrats are mounting a challenge.
