Thrilling Skies: Airshow Set to Make Atlantic City Comeback in July

The Atlantic City Airshow is returning on July 15-16 as part of the Soar & Shore Festival after being canceled last year due to funding issues. Visit Atlantic City is funding the event with $350,000 in partnership with Herb Gillen Airshows. Local officials and business leaders emphasize the airshow’s importance for tourism and the economy. Additionally, a summer concert series at Boardwalk Hall is planned, with $400,000 allocated for four to five performances. More details on the event’s lineup will be announced in the coming months.
Stone Harbor Resident to Compete on "Jeopardy!" This Friday

Dr. Joshua Weikert, a Stone Harbor resident, will appear on "Jeopardy!" on Friday, March 21. A professor, policy adviser, and Army Reserve officer, Weikert has been trying to qualify for the show for 15 years. While his results are under embargo, he described the experience as intense but exciting. He pledged 10% of any winnings to the Weikel Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports veterans and their families pursuing degrees in medical and life sciences. Weikert hopes his appearance raises awareness for the scholarship and its mission. Be sure to tune in to channel 6 and cheer him on!
First Day of Spring Means Free Frozen Treats Across New Jersey
Rita’s Water Ice and Dairy Queen are celebrating the first day of spring with free frozen treats today, March 20. Rita’s will give away free 6-ounce servings of water ice at all locations, expecting to serve over 1 million cups nationwide. Dairy Queen will offer a free small vanilla cone at participating non-mall locations, while mall locations require a purchase. Both promotions run all day, giving New Jersey residents a sweet way to welcome the new season. Can Summer be far off?
