Extras Wanted for Robert De Niro’s New Movie Filming in New Jersey

 It seems New Jersey is becoming the Hollywood of the East. Robert De Niro’s upcoming Netflix film, The Whisper Man, will be filmed in New Jersey, and the production team is searching for local extras. Those interested can apply by emailing whisper@gwcnyc.com with headshots and relevant details. SAG members will be paid $216 for an eight-hour shift, while non-union extras will earn $181.50 for ten hours. With filming just weeks away, now is the time for New Jersey residents to submit their applications for a chance to appear in a major Netflix production alongside Robert De Niro. 

Ocean City Boardwalk Merchants Back Luxury Hotel at Former Wonderland Pier

 The Boardwalk Merchants Association has endorsed a proposed luxury hotel, "ICONA in Wonderland," to replace the former Wonderland Pier in Ocean City. Developer Eustace Mita is working to secure broader support before presenting the project to City Council this spring. Some residents oppose the 7½-story hotel, fearing it could disrupt the Boardwalk’s family-friendly appeal, but Mita believes most locals support the plan. The project would include 250 hotel rooms, retail shops, and amusement park elements, including Wonderland’s iconic Ferris wheel and carousel.

New Carter’s Store Arrives in Rio Grande, Grand Opening Set

Carter’s Inc. has opened a new children’s clothing store in Rio Grande’s Grande Center. The new location, situated in the Grande Center next to Old Navy, offers a selection of baby and children's clothing, featuring Carter’s own brands such as Carter’s, OshKosh B’gosh, Little Planet, and Skip Hop. A Grand Opening celebration is planned for March 22, where the first 50 customers will receive gift cards worth up to $100.
