Lower Township and Cape May Targeted in Graffiti Spree, Suspects Charged

Lower Township Police arrested four teenagers, including one adult, for graffiti vandalism discovered at multiple locations. The most significant damage was found at public restrooms on Lincoln Boulevard, a facility that opened in late 2023. Community members removed some of the graffiti, but visible damage remained. In addition to the restrooms, graffiti was also found in other areas, including a vinyl fence behind The Produce Place in North Cape May and various locations in Cape May City. Cape May Police Chief Dekon Fashaw confirmed that the same individuals face charges in Cape May for related offenses.
Special Olympics New Jersey Spring Games Basketball Returns to the Wildwoods

Special Olympics New Jersey will host its Spring Games Basketball tournament on March 29-30 in the Wildwoods, with athletes from across the state competing for medals at six local venues. The event is free and open to the public. For over 55 years, Special Olympics New Jersey has provided year-round sports training, health screenings, and leadership opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Tournament details will be available at www.sonj.org closer to the event.
SWAT Team Arrests Lower Township Man Following Indecent Exposure Report

A Lower Township man, Robert McKinley, 55, was arrested and charged with child endangerment and lewdness after being seen naked in public. Several juveniles reportedly witnessed the incident, prompting an investigation that led to his arrest by a regional SWAT team. He remains in custody pending court proceedings. Officials emphasized their commitment to protecting children and encouraged anyone with additional information about the case to contact the Lower Township Police Detective Division or the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
