Local Chef Kyle Timpson Wins Hell’s Kitchen Season 23, Lands Top Job

Kyle Timpson, a graduate of Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts, has won Season 23 of Hell’s Kitchen. His victory secures him a $250,000 prize and the head chef position at the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. Facing off against finalist Hannah Flora, Timpson delivered an impressive final dinner service despite some early missteps. His leadership and skill won over Chef Gordon Ramsay, earning him the top spot in the competition.
Cape May County Zoo Welcomes Baby Wallaby—Name Reveal Coming Soon!

The Cape May County Park and Zoo has welcomed a baby wallaby, born on July 29, 2024, to mother Darcy. The joey has been developing inside her pouch and recently reached the stage where it starts peeking out. In about a month, visitors may catch a glimpse of the young wallaby in the early morning or late afternoon. The zoo plans a name reveal soon. Other recent zoo births include an Ankole-Watusi calf and a zebra foal, adding to the growing animal family.
Ocean City Council Approves Pet Daycares Amid Puppy Mill Concerns

Ocean City has approved an ordinance allowing pet daycare centers to operate, addressing demand for animal care services. The City Council passed the measure 5-2 despite concerns about the potential for puppy mills to exploit the new law. Supporters argue the ordinance will benefit pet owners, while opponents sought stricter safeguards. The proposed daycare business that inspired the ordinance has not yet disclosed its plans.
