Celebrate Bald Eagles at the Annual Maurice River Winter Festival

The Cumberland County Winter Eagle Festival returns on Saturday, February 1st, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maurice River Fire Hall. The family-friendly event features live birds of prey, educational talks, and guided eagle-watching at prime locations throughout southern New Jersey. Bald Eagles, which have made a strong comeback in the region, will be visible nesting and fishing in local rivers and marshes. Admission includes access to exhibits, nature walks, and a map of viewing sites.
Cape May County’s Kyle Timpson in Final Showdown on Hell’s Kitchen

South Jersey’s Kyle Timpson made it to the semifinals of Hell’s Kitchen Season 23, aired last night on Fox. The Middle Township native and Academy of Culinary Arts graduate developed a passion for cooking early on and built his career working in top Philadelphia restaurants. He was among the final three contestants competing for a $250,000 prize and a head chef position at Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods Resort Casino. With his skills and determination, Timpson hopes to prove that success in the culinary world is all about hard work and opportunity. Spoiler alert, Kyle made it through to the finale to be aired on Fox next Thursday, February 6.
Spadea Secures Early GOP Support as NJ Governor’s Race Heats Up

Radio host Bill Spadea won the Pinelands Republican Club’s endorsement for New Jersey’s 2025 gubernatorial primary, with Edward Durr finishing as runner-up. Spadea emphasized school choice, immigration enforcement, and conservative policies, while also pledging full cooperation with a possible second Trump administration. Other candidates, including Jon Bramnick, Jim Fazzone, and Justin Barbera, also attended the meeting to make their case. With the Republican field still forming, the race remains competitive as the June primary approaches.
