Cape May Locals Delighted by Rare Iceberg Sightings in Delaware Bay

Cape May’s Delaware Bay has become the site of a rare winter phenomenon: large ice floes drifting into the bay, creating a stunning and icy spectacle. This event, not seen since 2018, was caused by extreme cold, strong winds, and the unique geography of the bay, which trapped the ice near the South Jersey peninsula. Some floes reached up to five inches thick, resembling natural sculptures as they floated or gathered along the shore. While the sight is breathtaking, visitors are warned to avoid walking on the unstable ice due to safety concerns.
Wildwood’s Iconic Morey’s Piers Earns Global Recognition for Excellence
Morey’s Piers in Wildwood has been named one of the world’s top family-owned theme parks by Blooloop.com, recognized for its guest-centered approach and distinctive charm. Founded in 1969 by brothers Will and Bill Morey, the park has grown to include over 100 rides across three piers and two water parks. Iconic features like the Boardwalk’s “Sightseer” tram cars and a family coaster inspired by them add to the appeal. Now run by second-generation Will Morey, the park continues to blend tradition and innovation, solidifying its place as a global leader in family entertainment.
