Spielberg’s Latest UFO Adventure Lands in Cape May – Casting Call Open

 Steven Spielberg is set to film a UFO-themed movie in Cape May, New Jersey, this March, with the project tentatively titled The Dish. The production team is seeking local extras to portray train passengers and car drivers, offering residents a unique opportunity to participate in a major Hollywood production. Starring Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, and Colman Domingo, the movie is scheduled for a May 15, 2026 release. Interested applicants can apply through Grant Wilfley Casting. Spielberg's latest film continues his celebrated exploration of extraterrestrial themes, bringing his iconic storytelling style back to his New Jersey roots.

Cape May County Extends 'Code Blue' Advisory Through January 20

 Cape May County has extended its nightly "Code Blue" advisory from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through January 20, as temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing. Residents in need of temporary shelter during the advisory can access warming centers by contacting their local municipality. Additional support and resources are also available by dialing 2-1-1. For further information about the "Code Blue" program or assistance, the public can reach the Office of Emergency Management at 609-600-5055 or visit the Cape May County website at capemaycountynj.gov.

Jersey Shore Police Officer Rescues Unresponsive Newborn

A Middle Township police officer, Ptlm. Chris Rudy, is being hailed as a hero for saving a newborn’s life on November 28, 2024. After responding to a 9-1-1 call, Rudy performed CPR on the one-week-old baby, who had become unresponsive. The baby regained consciousness before being transported to a hospital by medics. The Middle Township Police Department commended both Rudy and Atlantic Care for their teamwork in saving the infant.
