Why Cape May Remains One of New Jersey’s Top Year-Round Destinations

A recent article at WorldAtlas.com called Cape May the friendliest small town in New Jersey. According to the article, Cape May, a historic seaside town in southern New Jersey, offers year-round attractions, from its beautiful beaches and seasonal festivals to locally owned restaurants and cozy indoor activities. Popular beaches like Sunset Beach and The Cove Beach draw visitors with stunning views and marine life, while events such as the Exit Zero Jazz Festival and West Cape May Strawberry Festival keep the community lively. Even in cooler weather, Cape May provides unique indoor experiences, including a day spa and a historic lighthouse. Whether for a summer getaway or a winter retreat, Cape May promises charm and relaxation. Of course, many of us already knew this.

New Jersey Faces Growing Energy Challenges Amid Fossil Fuel Retirements

The North American Electric Reliability Corp.’s 2024 Reliability Assessment warns that more than half of North America, including New Jersey, faces elevated energy reliability risks due to rising demand and insufficient resource additions. The rapid retirement of fossil fuel plants and delays in renewable energy projects, such as offshore wind, are straining supply. The report highlights significant challenges for PJM Interconnection, serving New Jersey, where reduced capacity projections and infrastructure limitations are increasing pressure on the grid. Soaring energy demand from AI-driven data centers, electric vehicles, and electrified heating systems further complicates the outlook.

Lower Cape May’s Wrestling Team Eyes Top 5 After Duals Success

Lower Cape May High School's wrestling team continued its impressive run by winning the Cinnaminson Duals, defeating higher-ranked teams Seneca and Paulsboro. Sophomore standout Bryce Paley clinched the final victory with a technical fall. Several key performances helped the team, which could jump to No. 4 in the area rankings. The program's success didn’t happen overnight. Lower Cape May head coach Billy Damiana credits years of hard work and development, noting that his young wrestlers are learning to thrive under the new expectations that come with winning. With just two more wins, the program will notch its 600th victory. Seneca's Daniel Bogardus achieved his 100th career win during the event. Meanwhile, Paulsboro’s head coach Paul Morina is just three wins away from reaching 800 career victories.
