Cape May County Issues Code Blue Advisory Through January 8

Cape May County has issued a Code Blue advisory due to freezing temperatures, effective nightly through January 8. The advisory aims to protect those living outdoors, in poorly insulated homes, or other at-risk environments from cold-related dangers, including hypothermia and frostbite. Residents in need of temporary shelter should contact local authorities or call 2-1-1. For more information or specific inquiries, the Cape May County Office of Emergency Management can be reached at 609-600-5055. First Major Snowfall of the Year to Hit New Jersey Late Sunday into Monday

 New Jersey is preparing for a winter storm that could bring 6 to 8 inches of snow to southern counties and up to 2 inches south of I-195, starting late Sunday and lasting through Monday. Wind chills may drop into the single digits, with temperatures hovering in the teens to low 30s. Northern parts of the state are expected to see only minor snowfall. Residents are advised to stay alert for updates, as the storm could affect travel. Due to the anticipated inclement weather, all Cape May County senior centers (Lower Township, North Wildwood, and Upper Township) will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6.

 All Seasons Marina in Marmora is undergoing a multi-million-dollar transformation under new ownership, with new docks, seawalls, and upgraded facilities. The marina, which offers 275 wet slips and 195 dry slips, aims to become a premier destination at the Jersey Shore. Customers have praised the improvements, while management is focusing on enhancing customer service and strengthening ties with the local community.
