The Carpenter’s Son: A Heartfelt Christmas Tribute to St. Joseph
Three Wildwood-connected creatives have collaborated to produce The Carpenter’s Son, a Christmas song exploring St. Joseph’s perspective during Jesus’ birth. The song, described as heartfelt and original, offers listeners a meaningful addition to their Christmas playlists while celebrating the often-overlooked role of St. Joseph. Written by Father Edward Namiotka and musician Thomas Raniszewski, and produced by Jonathan Delgado, the track blends contemporary Christian hymn styles with the feel of a French carol. Available on all major platforms, proceeds support South Jersey Catholic Ministries.
Atlantic City Airshow Faces Another Cancellation, Eyes 2026 Comeback
The Atlantic City Airshow has been canceled for 2025, marking a "strategic pause" to reevaluate its operations and ensure future success. Historically, the Airshow has drawn over 500,000 attendees during its two-day run each August, generating an estimated $50 million in economic activity. Its absence in 2025 is expected to leave a noticeable void in Atlantic City’s tourism economy. Following the cancellation of the 2024 show, organizers are focusing on community engagement, costs, and logistics, with plans to revive the beloved event in 2026.
Cape May Grapples with Business Recycling Costs as Ordinance Stalls
Cape May City Council has delayed a decision on an ordinance to regulate commercial recycling pickup, deferring the matter to 2025. The proposed ordinance aims to set volume limits on city-managed recycling services, requiring businesses to manage excess materials privately. Critics argue taxpayer dollars should not support commercial recycling, framing it as a business expense. The ordinance comes amid financial strain on recycling programs following changes in global markets.
