North Wildwood and Freehold Wawa Customers Hit Jackpot
Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players became millionaires after purchasing winning tickets from Wawa stores, located about 100 miles apart in North Wildwood and Freehold. These winners join over 40 others in the state who have scored prizes of at least $1 million this year, according to the New Jersey Lottery. A South Jersey woman won with a Diamond Spectacular scratch-off in July and plans to buy a beachside home, while a $1.3 million Jersey Cash 5 winner in Freehold remains unclaimed. Both Wawa stores can now add “lucky lottery destination” to their reputation for hoagies, coffee, and snacks, with these life-changing wins reminding customers of the possibilities in every ticket.
Man Charged with Aggravated Assault After Lafayette Avenue Incident
Michael Bogue, 33, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a Green Creek resident with a metal cup after being confronted outside the victim's home. The victim sustained injuries during the altercation. Bogue was later spotted with Katrina Fabio, 34, who initially denied knowing him and provided false information to police. Both were apprehended on Nov. 29, with Bogue facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, and Fabio charged with hindering.

Stone Harbor is pursuing Green Acres funding to build an inclusive playground at 82nd Street. Modeled after Jake’s Place facilities, the project could receive up to 75% of its funding through the state grant. The initiative aims to replace a previously dismantled playground, providing a safe, accessible space for residents and visitors of all abilities. Community involvement will play a key role in the application process.
