High Winds Force Complete Ferry Shutdown Thursday
The Cape May-Lewes Ferry suspended all departures on Thursday, citing high winds as the primary concern. Ferry officials had initially announced adjustments to the sailing schedule on December 4, with some trips cancelled while others continued. However, worsening conditions led to the cancellation of all sailings later in the day. Officials stated they are closely monitoring conditions on the Delaware Bay and will provide updates regarding future operations. Passengers with affected reservations have been notified by email from the Customer Service team. According to the website Willy Weather the wind will be decreasing steadily over the next few days.
