 The Jersey Shore will host a variety of festive tree lighting ceremonies for the 2024 holiday season, offering family-friendly activities and Santa sightings. From Ocean City to North Wildwood, these events are perfect for kicking off the holiday cheer. The schedule lists tree lightings from the earliest events to those happening later in the season, so you can plan your holiday outings accordingly.

November 29th Events:

  • Ocean City – Christmas in the Downtown
    Time: 2 to 5 p.m. (Tree lighting time not yet announced)

  • Avalon – Tree Lighting

Cape May’s Winter Wonderland: Jingle Bar Opens for the Holidays

 Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille in Cape May has reopened its festive Christmas pop-up, Jingle Bar, running from November 22, 2024, to January 4, 2025. Known for its themed cocktails, dazzling décor, and live entertainment, Jingle Bar is a seasonal favorite that supports the local economy and draws visitors beyond the summer season. Special hours are planned for key dates, including a New Year’s Eve celebration lasting into 2025. 

NJ Investment Advisor Pleads Guilty to $3 Million Fraud

 A Bergen County investment advisor, Kenneth A. Welsh, has pleaded guilty to stealing $3 million from clients between 2017 and 2021. Welsh diverted the funds for personal use, including gambling and luxury purchases. If convicted, Welsh could face significant penalties. Each wire fraud charge carries up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, while the investment advisor fraud charge could result in an additional five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for March 26.
