Wildwood’s Iconic Great White Coaster Set for Major Upgrades

The Great White roller coaster at Morey’s Piers is undergoing upgrades to enhance its smoothness and thrill factor. Two new Millennium Flyer trains will be added, improving the ride’s ability to navigate curves. Known for its 105-foot drop and speeds exceeding 50 mph, The Great White is a signature attraction at Adventure Pier, located near Spencer Avenue. The roller coaster is not only a crowd favorite but also the most maintenance-intensive ride at the park, a testament to the dedication required to keep it running smoothly. The enhancements are set to be completed by spring 2025, promising an improved experience for the iconic wooden coaster.

Firefighters Battle Uncontained 30-Acre Wildfire in Ocean County

A wildfire near Pine Park and Lakewood Country Club in Ocean County has burned 30 acres and remains uncontained. Six homes are at risk, but no evacuations have been ordered. Clearstream Road is closed between Brewers Bridge and Hope Chapel Road. Firefighting efforts include ground crews, fire engines, and bulldozers, supported by a helicopter conducting aerial observations. Emergency responders are focused on safeguarding structures while working to gain control of the fire.
