Eagles Dominate Cowboys 34-6, Capitalize on Turnovers in Dak Prescott’s Absence

The Philadelphia Eagles seized control of the NFC East on Sunday with a 34-6 rout over a struggling Dallas Cowboys team missing quarterback Dak Prescott. Jalen Hurts overcame early setbacks, throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for two more scores to help the Eagles secure their fifth consecutive win.

Hurts initially fumbled on a drive that allowed Dallas to reach Philadelphia’s 6-yard line. However, Dallas only converted the turnover into a field goal and struggled to capitalize further. Despite Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons returning from injury with two sacks on Hurts, Hurts managed an 84-yard drive, culminating in a touchdown pass to tight end Dallas Goedert. The Eagles entered halftime with a strong lead, which they only expanded as Dallas’ offense continued to falter.

Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush struggled to replace Prescott, completing just 13 of 23 passes for 45 yards and two fumbles, while Dallas cycled briefly to Trey Lance in a bid to salvage offensive momentum. Boos echoed from AT&T Stadium as the Cowboys lost their fourth consecutive game and remained winless at home.

Amid mounting speculation on the future of head coach Mike McCarthy, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones publicly supported him, stating there would be no coaching changes midseason. Prescott, meanwhile, will seek further medical advice on whether his torn hamstring requires season-ending surgery.

The Eagles will face Washington next on Thursday night, while the Cowboys will look to regroup against Houston on Monday night.
