Hightstown Man Sentenced to 19 Years for Fatal Stabbing in Wildwood
DaJohn Taylor was sentenced to 19 years in prison for the aggravated manslaughter of Kaiden Braithwaite and aggravated assault on Mikal Braithwaite during a June 2023 altercation in Wildwood. Taylor must serve at least 16 years before becoming eligible for parole. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeff Sutherland praised the efforts of the Wildwood Police Department, detectives, and prosecutors involved in the case.
New Scam in Atlantic County: Fraudsters Demand Payment to Avoid Fake Arrest
Residents of Atlantic County, NJ, are being alerted to a scam where fraudsters impersonate law enforcement officers, threatening arrest unless a bond is paid. The scam includes fake federal warrants and jury duty threats. Residents are reminded to never give financial information over the phone, especially if asked to make electronic payments via retail stores. If you receive a suspicious call, authorities urge you to hang up and report it directly to the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office at (609) 909-7200..
