Lower Township Joins National Prescription Drug Take Back Day October 26

Lower Township Police will participate in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on October 26, allowing residents to safely dispose of unneeded medications. The event will be held at Acme Markets in North Cape May from 10 am until 2 pm. The event helps reduce the risk of drug misuse by collecting old prescriptions. Intravenous solutions, syringes, injectables, and illicit drugs will not be accepted. Consumers can dispose of vape pens and e-cigarette devices if the batteries are removed beforehand. Since its inception, the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day has removed over 8,300 tons of medication from circulation across the country, promoting safer homes and preventing potential addiction.
