Snowflakes and Scarecrows: Monroe Township Lights Up Christmas Decor in October Heat

Monroe Township, NJ, has already lit up its Christmas decorations despite Halloween being more than a week away. This early celebration is part of a yearly tradition for the town, which also holds its Halloween parade early, typically mid-October. Alongside haybales and scarecrows for Halloween, snowflake decorations are already on display, creating a curious blend of autumn and winter. Residents can enjoy a festive atmosphere while temperatures remain in the 80s. 

Howl-O-Ween Parade Brings Vince Papale and Festivities to Ocean City This Saturday

 The Humane Society of Ocean City’s fourth annual "Howl-O-Ween" Parade will be held this Saturday, October 26th, with dogs and their owners sporting Halloween costumes along the boardwalk. The event also marks Ocean City’s “Dog Days” weekend, where leashed dogs are allowed on the boardwalk. Saturday’s festivities include free photos with Santa at the Ocean City Music Pier from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Humane Society’s announcement of Ocean City’s “Pet of the Year” at noon, and of course, the parade itself. The parade will feature Vince Papale as grand marshal, with other special guests like the Phillie Phanatic.

South Jersey’s Topsail Steamer Set to Appear on Shark Tank This Friday

 Topsail Steamer, a family-owned business from South Jersey specializing in customizable seafood steam pots, will appear on Shark Tank this Friday, October 25th. Founder Danielle Mahon hopes to secure investment for the company's growth, which has already expanded across multiple locations and ships nationwide. The company began in North Carolina and expanded to Ocean City, NJ in 2020. With additional seasonal locations in Ship Bottom, Sea Isle City, and Wildwood, Topsail Steamer now operates 10 stores in total.
