Cape May’s Harry’s Boo Bar Brings Haunted Pirate Fun for Halloween
Harry’s Bar and Grille in Cape May has introduced its first Halloween-themed pop-up, Harry’s Boo Bar, at the Montreal Beach Resort. The haunted pirate-themed bar offers spooky décor and themed cocktails. The pop-up bar is open from Wednesday to Sunday and has partnered with the Cape May Beach Patrol to raise funds for the Cannone Scholarship Fund, supporting local lifeguards. Visitors who donate are eligible to win prizes, with Madison Resorts matching all contributions. The pop-up runs through October 31st and a grand prize drawing will be held at the Halloween Party on October 26.
Juice Box Giant Lassonde to Build $200M Juice Facility in South Jersey
Lassonde Industries is investing $200 million in a new beverage production facility in Upper Deerfield, NJ, which will eventually replace its current plant. The expansion will retain 200 jobs and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to the region, where it has been operating since 1982. Lassonde Pappas, the U.S. division, produces a variety of juices and beverages and is known for brands like Apple & Eve and Old Orchard.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has signed a new law strengthening penalties for home invasions and burglaries, following the death of Cumberland County Detective Monica Mosley. The law classifies home invasions as first-degree offenses, with prison terms of 10 to 20 years, while residential burglaries become second-degree offenses, carrying sentences of five to 10 years. It also extends to juvenile offenders, giving judges greater flexibility in sentencing.
