Cheers to Beers: Kelsey Grammer's South Jersey Bartending Appearance

South Jersey has become a popular destination for numerous celebrities in recent years. Former Eagles Legend Jason Kelce hosts his annual Charity Event in Sea Isle City each year and Oscar-Award Winning Actor Edward Norton spent part of his Summer in Cape May. Kelsey Grammer, celebrated for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane and his contributions to the craft beer industry, will be serving as a celebrity bartender at Doyle's Pour House in Tuckerton, New Jersey, on September 18th. The event offers fans a chance to meet Grammer while he promotes his Faith American Brewing's craft beers. Grammer's connection to New Jersey runs deep, having been raised there, and he now frequents the area to support his brewery. The evening promises interaction with Grammer and a taste of his highly-rated craft beers

Ocean City Surf Fishing Tournament Moves to Earlier Date for Better Conditions

The Ocean City Fishing Club will host its 55th-annual Surf Fishing Tournament on September 21. More than 100 anglers are expected, with 20 six-person teams participating. The earlier date aims to bring warmer weather and better fishing conditions. The event includes two fishing sessions on Ocean City beaches, prizes, and free lunch for youth participants. Registration is available online or on the day of the event. The city is providing free beach access for tournament vehicles. Prizes will be awarded in team, individual, and youth categories.  Adults and young anglers may be registered online using the OCFC website.

Cape May County Leaders Call for Action on Surging Utility Prices

Cape May County residents are expressing concerns over rising electricity prices, with some reporting significant increases in their bills from Atlantic City Electric (ACE). While the company attributes the hikes to rising supply costs and increased energy usage, many customers say the increases exceed the company's 20% rate hike. ACE suggests that capital investments, demand growth, and factors like hotter summers may be contributing to the higher bills. Local representatives are calling for hearings to investigate these price hikes and their impact on ratepayers.

Playoff Implications Loom as Phillies Fall Short in Milwaukee Opener

Ranger Suárez struggled again as the Phillies lost 6-2 to the Brewers, marking his sixth straight start without completing six innings. Suárez allowed three runs over five innings, struggling with command and walking three batters. The Brewers capitalized on his mistakes, while Phillies' offensive efforts fell short. Key opportunities in the third and sixth innings were squandered, with two base-running errors and a lack of timely hitting. The loss impacts the Phillies’ playoff positioning as they compete for a top seed in the National League.

Falcons Steal Victory as Cousins Leads Game-Winning Touchdown Against Eagles

Kirk Cousins led a 70-yard game-winning touchdown drive in the final moments, lifting the Atlanta Falcons to a 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Cousins connected with Drake London for a 7-yard touchdown with under a minute remaining. Jalen Hurts had a solid performance for the Eagles with 170 passing yards, a touchdown, and 85 rushing yards, but the Eagles' late field goal left room for the Falcons' comeback. This marked Cousins' first win with the Falcons after joining the team this offseason.
