Annual 911'Tribute in Lights' Returns in Monmouth County This September
The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners will continue its annual “Tribute in Lights” to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. This visual tribute, involving two light beams representing the Twin Towers, will be visible from Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook in Atlantic Highlands on September 11, from sunset to 11 p.m. The event commemorates the 147 county residents lost in the attacks and marks the fifth consecutive year the tribute has been held since it started in 2020 due to pandemic concerns.
