Man Found Dead on New Jersey Beach, Authorities Investigating

 The body of a man, estimated to be around 50 years old, was discovered on Cove Beach on Monday, August 26. Cape May County authorities have deemed the death nonsuspicious and have assured the public there is no danger. The beach area was temporarily closed for a police investigation. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the local police department are investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Major Crimes Unit of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135 or the Cape May Police Department at 609-884-9500, or information can be reported anonymously on the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office website at cmcpo.tips.

Teen girl killed in boating accident in Ocean County, NJ

 Loved ones are mourning a teen girl who was killed in a boating accident at the Jersey Shore over the weekend. The incident occurred in the water off Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars in Long Beach Island, Ocean County, New Jersey, on Aug. 25, around 4:30 p.m. Police said 18-year-old Zeina Mahafzah of Wayne, New Jersey, was on a raft being pulled by a boat. As she tried to board the boat, she was struck and killed by the vessel's propeller, investigators said. Responding medics evaluated people on the boat who witnessed the teen's death. Police continue to investigate and have not released additional information. As the investigation continues, officials are asking for people to keep the victim's family members and the community in their thoughts and prayers.
