NJ Fisherman Catches Rare 5.5-Foot White Shark Off Atlantic City Coast
Travis Bogin, a fisherman from Little Egg Harbor, unexpectedly caught a 5.5-foot white shark while fishing off the coast of Atlantic City. Initially setting out to catch a thresher shark, Bogin was surprised to discover a white shark on his line near his boat. He managed to capture photos and a video of the shark, which he described as a bucket list experience, before safely releasing it back into the ocean. On the same day, he also caught a 10-foot dusky shark, noting that encounters with such rare species are extraordinary events in his fishing career.
