N.J. July 4th Forecast: Mostly Sunny with a Chance of Evening Thunderstorms

The weather forecast for July 4th in New Jersey shows mostly favorable conditions for Independence Day celebrations, with hot temperatures and partly to mostly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the evening, which could affect fireworks displays. Forecasters predict a 30% to 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms between Thursday evening and early Friday morning. However, the general outlook for the holiday remains positive, following a dry period earlier in the week after a weekend of heavy rainfall.

Quick Response from Ocean City Lifeguards Saves Nine Beachgoers

In Ocean City, New Jersey, a recent rescue operation highlighted the importance of beach safety when nine beachgoers were saved from the ocean after falling off the 9th Street jetty. The incident occurred before lifeguards were stationed, but they were able to respond quickly from a nearby meeting. The Ocean City Beach Patrol, a nationally certified agency by the USLA, emphasizes the importance of swimming only in designated areas with lifeguard supervision to prevent such dangerous situations.
