Wildwood Crest Sets $28.5 Million Budget for 2024, Includes Tax Rate Hike

The 2024 municipal budget for Wildwood Crest has been set at $28.5 million, featuring a 1.5-cent increase in the municipal tax rate, resulting in a rate of 0.715 per $100 of assessed value. Property owners will face a modest rise in municipal taxes, with the average homeowner paying an additional $66. The budget, approved on March 27, aims to cover increased costs in labor, healthcare, pensions, and bonds, while still managing a reduced overall expenditure compared to the previous year. It also strategically employs a portion of the borough's surplus to maintain essential services and improvements, keeping well within state financial regulations.
