North Wildwood Realtor Arrested for Theft and Money Laundering
Steven DiPeso, a high-end realtor based in North Wildwood, was arrested following a six-month investigation by local police and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office.
DiPeso faces multiple charges, including theft, theft by deception, money laundering, computer crimes, failure to make a lawful disposition, and corporate misconduct. These charges came to light after a search warrant was executed at the Champagne Island Resort condos.
DiPeso, who holds an accounting degree from Stockton University and has previously advised large corporations before entering real estate, is currently being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility. His professional background includes roles at companies such as Universal Studios and Six Flags Theme Parks, and he transitioned to real estate with Compass Realty in 2022. Details of the crimes DiPeso is accused of have not been disclosed by the authorities.
Spring Water Main Flushing Schedule Announced for Cape May Residents
Cape May City has announced the commencement of the Spring Water Main Flushing program, set to begin on Monday, April 8. This essential maintenance is part of the city's efforts to ensure the continued quality and safety of its water supply. Residents might experience temporary disruptions or changes in water pressure and are advised to contact the City of Cape May Water/Sewer Department at 609-884-9575 for more information or any concerns.

Science Fair Awaits Your Discovery
The Cape May County Library is extending an invitation to homeschoolers aged 4 to 17 to showcase their scientific curiosity and talents at the upcoming Homeschool Science Fair. This exciting event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 11th, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Court House Library. Participants are encouraged to think creatively and conduct a research project or science experiment either at home, in the field, or with the resources available at the library. The fair will provide a platform for young scientists to present their findings, with a two-minute presentation slot allocated for each participant. Set-up for the event will begin at 12:30 PM.
To ensure a spot at the fair, interested participants must register beforehand. The library emphasizes the importance of safety and respect for all, setting clear boundaries by prohibiting experiments that involve fire, explosions, caustic chemicals, human tissues or fluids, and any form of animal cruelty.
