The trial will focus on a specific tag category, potentially the three-day tag, to assess the feasibility of digital tags. This move comes as Cape May, along with Sea Isle City, explores innovative approaches to beach tag sales, including credit card purchases through a smartphone app.

Cape May City has proposed a 2024 budget that, if approved, will maintain the local tax rate for the fifth consecutive year. The Washington Street Mall offers a unique opportunity to leave a personal mark in Cape May by engraving memories, shout-outs, or memorials on its bricks.

Options include custom text, icons, or logos, with proceeds supporting the Mall's preservation. Engravings are batch processed after every 200 orders, leading to variable waiting times. Upon completion, contributors are notified of their brick's placement, underscoring the program's popularity and the need for patience through the process.
