Tax Rate Increase for 2024

West Cape May will experience a modest tax rate increase of half a cent in its 2024 municipal budget, leading to a slight uptick in taxpayer contributions.

Despite the increase, the budget of approximately $3.7 million is lower than the previous year's, with both anticipated revenue and spending decreasing. The tax adjustment aims for a balanced approach to local fiscal management, amidst a backdrop of decreased state and federal grants and a cautious projection of future financial needs. The final budget, set for adoption on April 10, continues to prioritize fiscal responsibility while navigating the complexities of municipal financing.

His remarkable journey has also seen him as a pivotal member of “The President’s Own – United States Marine Band” and the principal percussionist for the Ocean City POPS Orchestra.

Jeff Uhlig's distinguished career complements this duo, holding the prestigious Lilian Kraus Felber Distinguished Faculty Chair in Piano at the Settlement Music School for over three decades. His collaborations span across a network of leading singers and instrumentalists, many from the Metropolitan Opera and the Philadelphia Orchestra, showcasing his profound influence in the world of music.
